Mick Fanning sells Gold Coast house ahead of auction
Championship surfer Mick Fanning and his partner, Breanna Randall, have sold their former waterfront Bilinga family home ahead of an April 24 auction.
The seven bedroom dwelling at 291 Golden Four Drive, collected $16.05 million from a local family.
The pair paid $3.25m for the 1030 square metre block which made way for the home in 2011.
A three level Christian Butler designed weatherboard mansion and two storey guest cottage was completed three years later; all up the internal area is c1190 sqm.
The home was also revamped in 2022, by Three Birds Renovations.
Kollosche Prestige’s Troy Darker and James Roberts were the agents.
Bilinga is about 25 kilometres south of Surfers Paradise, near the New South Wales border and Coolangatta where Mr Fanning grew up.
Pair shed another property
Able to sleep 12, Golden Four Drive has in recent years been a holiday rental, returning $7600 on peak nights.
The deal comes five months since Mr Fanning and Ms Randall banked $3.3m for another former family home, 5 Farrell Drive, Tugun – about two kilometres north of Bilinga
That dwelling cost $3m in 2021.
The pair are understood to hold other nearby assets.
