Major Industrial Development Sites in Truganina Expected to Fetch $12 Million

The balance of the larger property which is not yet for sale, is near the Western Highway, and is expected to eventually make way for more factories, as well as houses, shops and offices.

The largest land sale to take place in Melbourne, recently, occurred in late 2010 when Sydney-based developer Stockland paid two sisters about $300 million for the 1121 hectare Lockerbie sheep station, 35 kilometres from the CBD in Kalkallo.

The farm was bequeathed to the vendors by their father, furniture maker and businessman Ernest Henry Leonard Burgess, who owned it since 1979.
