Leighton and ICP Lodge Plans to Build $95 Million, Part of Ipswich City Heart

“The government has made a commitment to regionalisation and having an office in Ipswich is about sharing the load,” he told the AFR. “We are becoming the solution for Brisbane, not the problem.”

The consortiums proposed office will be one of three planned with the Ipswich City Heart proposal.

The $95 million building is now being offered for sale, in a campaign being managed by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Paul Noonan and Simon Storry.

Leighton Properties state manager for Queensland Andrew Borger said “this first office tower is the kick-start needed for the Ipswich city centre. It will provide much needed incentives for businesses to relocate into the commercial tower, injecting new life and energy.”

Construction could commence early next year with tenants moving in by 2013.

A $25 million upgrade of the Ipswich Coles supermarket is also starting in coming months.
