John Landerer lists Vaucluse mansion
John Landerer, the founder of commercial law firm Landerer and Company has listed his Sydney home with a $60 million-plus guide.
Ganeden at 38A Wentworth Road, Vaucluse, is the priciest Australian property offered for public sale this year.
It is designed with a 20 car garage, seven bedrooms, three kitchens, two swimming pools, a cinema, gym and function centre.
Next door is La Mer, the Guildford Bell mansion which James and Erika Packer sold to Chinese-Australian businessman Chau Chak Wing for $70 million in 2015 following a major refurbishment.
That property, like Ganeden, is hillside with a sunken second street frontage to Vaucluse Rd, where contemporary structures have been built.
Both roads offer views capturing Sydney Harbour Bridge and the opera house.

The home was created in the mid-1990s after Mr Landerer acquired 43 and 45 Vaucluse Rd to add to 38A Wentworth Rd, which held since October, 1998.
The lawyer appointed Stephen Gergely to design it and late interior stylist Frank Grill to furnish it.
Melbourne landscape architect Paul Bangay penned the gardens.
