Kenny Thorburn Resigns From CBRE, Establishes Thorburn Commercial Property

Thorburn – who has seen St Kilda Road through a rise, fall and rise in tenant demand – will head up a new business, Thorburn Commercial Property, focussed on sales and leasing in the inner southern suburbs.

Mr Thorburn was holidaying in Byron Bay, and declined to comment when contacted by Capital Gain.

Some of the biggest tenants Thorburn has negotiated into St Kilda Road buildings include L’Oreal, AAMI and Healthscope.

CBRE managing director Matt Haddon said the company as sorry to lose Kenny, and has promoted Mulgrave office director Grant Tinker.

Mr Tinker has worked the suburban office sales and leasing beat in the eastern and south-eastern suburbs since 2001. He is responsible for some of the bigger lease deals in that area including the Salvation Army’s recent relocation to Blackburn.
