Kalmar Global leases Brooklyn factory

Finnish cargo handling solutions group Kalmar Global has signed a three year lease for a Brooklyn industrial property.

The occupier will pay starting annual rent of $215,000 plus GST for the 7531 sqm site at 571-579 Grieve Parade.

With more than 100 metres to the street, the property is configured with a 110 sqm office, 1822 sqm warehouse with seven roller door shutters, a 580 sqm canopy, wash bay, service pits, parts office and concreted car park.

CBRE’s Ricardo Cappelletti, Tom Murphy and Fergus Pragnell marketed the property which was previously occupied by Mitsubishi Truck Refrigeration Services.

“The site’s unique blend of sought-after industrial features meant it was leased within a month of becoming vacant,” Mr Cappelletti said.

The frontage affords excellent signage opportunities, the agent added.

Brooklyn is about 10 kilometres west of the Melbourne CBD.

This particular site is near the Altona North suburb border and intersection connecting the West Gate and Princes freeways.

The 7531 square metre site is between the West Gate Freeway and Princes Highway.
The property contains an 1822 square metre warehouse.
