Investor swoops on Asahi backed food bowl warehouses

Two warehouses within four kilometres of each other in regional South Australia have sold.

The Old Calperum asset.

One investor swooped on the two assets – 29 Kernich Street, Renmark West (pictured, top), and 38 Kuhlmann Road, Old Calperum, for a combined $9.075 million.

All up covering 4.6 hectares, they contain 5417 square metres of improvements.

The blended weighted average lease expiry if 4.1 years.

“Positioned in the heart of South Australia’s “food bowl”, [the property is] advantageous for Asahi’s processing and cold storage operations, being close to the farmgate,” Pirie Property Group agents Jordan Kies and David Reid said.

The area is about 295 kilometres east of Adelaide.

Also today we are reporting Asahi is switching its local headquarters within Melbourne’s Southbank.
