Healthscope sells ex-rehab centre

Ivanhoe Manor, built in the 1880s as Fairview.

A former rehabilitation centre listed by Healthscope in May – weeks before it went into receivership – has sold.

The hospital included consulting and therapy rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and kitchen.

Ivanhoe Manor at 134-146 Ford Street, Ivanhoe, found favour with a residential developer for a speculated $7 million.

Included is a c1880s two level dwelling, originally called Fairview, built by local developer Alfred Ford, which can’t be razed.

On 7272 square metres zoned General Residential, the balance of the block was marketed for its potential to make way for apartments and townhouses.

JLL Jesse Radisich, Josh Rutman, Mark Stafford and Mingxuan Li were the agents.

Magree Property Advisory’s Dan Magree was the transaction advisor.

More to come.
