Two broiler farms, covering 147 hectares of land in central Victoria have sold for $10.62 million.

The Goulburn Valley Intensive Farms site (pictured top and left) at Nagambie was contracted to Baiada Poultry prior to March, 2017, but has traded with vacant possession.

The buyer is a local poultry industry player who has recently secured another growing contract, according to this article in The Weekly Times.

Colliers International’s Jesse Manuel and Tim Altschwager marketed the Goulburn Valley Intensive Farms property at 785 Zanelli Road.

Last May, a 4.6 hectare hatchery at 646 Nepean Highway, Mt Martha, was sold by TPG Capital for a speculated $16 million to a retirement village operator. TPG acquired this Mornington Peninsula holding in 2013 when it paid the Ingham family $880 million for its then-94 year old poultry business.

Earlier this year, the Coomboona Dairies site in the Goulburn Valley, which business Gerry Harvey controls 49.9 per cent of following a $34 million outlay in 2015, was listed for sale via Elders Real Estate.
