Former AFL star Chris Tarrant lists renovated Toorak mini manor
Retired AFL star Chris Tarrant (pictured, right, with Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin) has listed a Toorak mini-manor following an opulent renovation.
The Glen Road home cost Mr Tarrant and his interior designer wife, Lauren, $3.665 million last May – as their sixth renovation rescue project.
The couple are hoping to achieve between $4.9-$5.2 million for it this time around.
At the north west corner of Turnbull Avenue, near St Kevins College, the residence has been gutted and recreated “almost as a new house”, Ms Tarrant told realestate.com.au in this item.
Ms Tarrant laid out the interior while her husband completed construction works, helped by tradespeople.
The couple have flipped other homes in Armadale, South Yarra and elsewhere in Toorak.
Their latest project at 17 Glen Road includes three bedrooms, the master with a fitted dressing room and marble ensuite. It includes two ground floor living areas and an upstairs landing with a study.
The second level of the home is accessed via a lift.
A small side yard is configured with a spa. The home also includes a street-level double garage.

Chris Tarrant retired from the sport in 2012 after a career with Collingwood, Fremantle – and then the Magpies again.
The Derrimut-born sportsman made the Victorian under-15 basketball squad, prior to focusing on Australian Rules.
The Tarrant listing comes a month after we reported that architect Christopher Doyle banked a speculated $8.5 million selling a Torresdale Court home which, like 17 Glen Road, was gutted and completely renovated.
Mr Doyle found a buyer for this home – once owned by Jason Donovan – two weeks after it was listed for sale.
