Council sells ex-golf course
The City of Moreton Bay has sold the Albany Links Golf Course, which closed in 2019.
The 7.95 hectare U-shaped property, 638 South Pine Road, Brendale, collected $3.5 million at auction.
The buyer, Comiskey Group, owns the neighbouring Eatons Hill precinct.
On six hectares, that contains the Woolworths anchored Eaton Hill Village shopping centre, 4.5-star hotel, distillery and large format retail bottle shop.
The golf course site is for expansion space including real estate product and car parking.
It is zoned Recreation and Open Space (Sport and Recreation precinct) allowing for community uses and associated commercial development – for example, childcare.
Ray White Commercial’s Aaron Canavan, Chris Massie, Mark Creevey and Tony Williams were the agents.
Brendale is about 20 kilometres north of Brisbane’s CBD.
