Macquarie to Sell Half Share Interest in 171 Collins Street Development to CBus

Macquarie paid $27.6 million for the property in 2006, before seeking a permit to replace the former retail arcade with an office.

The proposed new development is said to hinge on snaring a major office tenant, of which there are several in the Melbourne market at the moment.

Representatives from Macquarie and CBus declined to comment about a joint venture partnership.

Earlier in the year it was speculated Grocon was interested in purchasing the office site.
