Carlton North’s Paragon building for sale

Model turned restaurateur Janni Goss is selling a high-profile shop in Carlton North’s Rathdowne Village.

The vendor can expect $2.7 million from the double-storey Paragon Cafe building at 651 Rathdowne Street.

On the south-west corner of Newry St, opposite Curtain Square, it contains 170 square metres of lettable area.

With first husband Ian, Ms Goss pioneered Carlton’s Cafe Paradiso in the mid 1970s.

That venue was shut in 1985 – as Paragon opened.

Teska Carson’s Michael Taylor will auction 651 Rathdowne St on August 27.
