Buyer of Crathe House Mansion Revealed

The 12 Maple Grove home of understated millionaire Jane Elizabeth Hiscock made headlines last month when it sold for $6.7 million to neighbour Anthony Lennon, executive director at Peet Ltd property developers.

Lennon, who only weeks earlier paid $9.11 million for 14 Maple Grove next door, is expected to demolish Hiscock’s relatively smaller 5-bedroom family home – so that he can add an extra 848 square metres, and a tennis court to his sprawling blue-ribbon estate.

Last week, Secret Agent revealed Ms Hiscock was the mystery buyer to fork of Crathre House at 118 Gipps Street in East Melbourne, in a deal worth an estimated $10 million.

Crathre House was sold by Good Guys boss Andrew Muir, who in May famously offered disgraced businessman Steve Vizard $17.5 million for his Orrong Road home, reportedly because he admired it from afar.
