Bunnings sold, set for repurpose

The Port Kennedy property sold for $14.3 million.

BWP Trust has sold an ex-Bunnings outlet at Port Kennedy, in Perth’s outer south.

About 40 per cent of the 9557 square metre warehouse at 7 Sunlight Drive will now be used by the occupier, PHRS Capital, which operates the Fitness Central Health gym brand and Merse Wellness complex at Osborne Park.

The balance will be configured as four tenancies.

Petstock presently occupies a portion.

BWP Trust is Bunnings’ primary landlord.

Last month we reported it sold an ex-outlet at Morley, north of Perth, to another occupier, Austern Building Supplies, for $19.5m (continues below).

Another hardware store sale

Bunnings quit the Port Kennedy store, on 2.7 hectares 48 kilometres from town, in early 2021 after 13 years.

In 2018, it opened larger outlets at nearby Baldivis and Mandurah.

Last month we reported BWP Trust sold a Bunnings anchored homemaker centre in Melbourne’s Chadstone for $86.025m.
