Buddy Franklin set for $1.4 million-plus payday from disposal of Melbourne home
AFL footballer Lance “Buddy” Franklin (pictured, left) looks set to score big in the property arena – offering a Donvale house he bought 10 years ago for $863,000 for nearly twice that amount.
The double-storey home at 14 Woodhall Wynd (pictured top and right) goes to auction on November 10 with a price guide of between $1.4 million and $1.5 million.
Buddy lived at the Donvale address temporarily before moving to a house in Brighton East for which he paid $1.635 million in late 2010 (the footballer sold that property, 55 Hodder Street, for $1.73 million in 2014).
The Donvale home was then occupied by Buddy’s father, Lance Senior, who is now moving to Western Australia.
It is configured with formal and informal lounge and dining rooms, four bedrooms, a study and double 
garage. It sits on a 572 square metre block which the marketing agents, Jellis Craig’s William Lyall and Jessica Clarke, say is surrounded by multi-million dollar homes.
Buddy, who was recruited by the Swans in 2013, now lives in a Rose Bay, Sydney, house he bought for $2.35 million in 2014.
In late 2016 he married former Miss Universe Australia 2010 winner, businesswoman, Jesinta Campbell.
