‘Dennis Denuto office’ from The Castle for sale

The building occupies a 250 square metre Commercial 1 zoned block.

The Brunswick building which dubbed as the office of lawyer Dennis Denuto in 1997 film The Castle is for sale.

At 728 Sydney Road it is asking $1.2 million.

The retail and commercial investment occupies a 250 square metre plot.

It has been held for more than four decades by the parents of D-Generation comedian Santo Cilauro.

Other members of that comedy group – Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner and Jane Kennedy – wrote The Castle script; the movie was filmed in 11 days, cost $750,000 and grossed more than $10m (story continues below).

Part of the upstairs office at 728 Sydney Road, Brunswick.

Walshe & Whitelock brokers Jane Sowersby and Michael Sowersby are marketing the Commercial 1 zoned Sydney Rd property.

Last year we reported the home which was the subject of the movie – at 3 Dagonet Street, Strathmore – sold for $40,000.

The land it sat on, abutting Essendon Airport, has made way for townhouses.
