Brighton record breaker no longer needs the beach house

Who needs for a getaway when your Melbourne home has all the luxuries of a resort and is on the beach?

Certainly not Russell Small, who paid $11.2 million for Brighton’s Kinane mansion – once owned by Becton chief Max Beck.

The businessman is said to be asking $3.5m for his Mornington Peninsula escape, 14 Cypress Court, Portsea (story continues below).

On an acre, it includes a 70 square architect-designed dwelling with four double bedrooms, a study, expansive outdoor deck with heated in-ground pool and spa, north/south grass tennis court and three-car lock-up garage.

The property is for private sale.
