Bendigo Population and Property Value Boom

According to Greater Bendigo Mayor David Jones, an increase in business investment over the past two years has been met with demand from mostly Melbourne-based workers, wanting to make the tree-change.

According to the REIV, Bendigo’s median house value in the March 2008 quarter was $240,000, on par with Ballarat but cheaper than Geelong, which has a median house value of $325,000 and is the most expensive non-Melbourne precinct.
