St Kilda block Belvedere for sale

The 1929 block of flats formerly known as Belvedere – and beamed on television as the home of characters in The Secret Life of Us, is for sale.

Over three levels, it contains 13 apartments.

At 22 Upper Esplanade on the corner of Robe Street it was one of two local buildings to feature in the show which ran between 2001-2005.

Belvedere was the one with the rooftop terrace and views over Port Phillip Bay, Luna Park and the Palais Theatre.

Hocking Stuart’s John Holdsworth is expecting $4.6-$5 million.

The unrenovated, oversized apartments include roman columns in the bathrooms and fireplaces.

The block earns $192,000 in annual rent.

Last month, Biggin & Scott sold the 12-unit Inverleith block at 14A Acland St, also featured in the show, for $4.95m.
