Ashington Hunts for Partner, to Redevelop Former Deakin Uni Toorak Campus

The Ashington Development Fund 2 purchased the 1.7 hectare site last year from boutique builder Hamton. It has proposed a $150 million townhouse development, of which 34 out of 76 dwellings have sold.

One of Ashington’s shareholders is BBB Capital, a company directed by Channel Nine reality TV boss Mark Bouris. Mr Bouris is reported to have distanced himself from Ashington since stepping down as non-executive chairman in August.

The New South Wales government recently rejected Ashington’s $146 million mixed use proposal of the Stamford Plaza Hotel site in Sydney’s ritzy Double Bay.
