AFL recruitment veteran John Beveridge (pictured, top) and his wife, Rosa – the parents of Premiership coach, Luke – sold their family home at auction today for $955,000.

The price for 29 Pasadena Crescent, Bentleigh East fell nearly mid-way between the guide ($900,000 to $990,000).

It was also $75,000 over the reserve.

John worked for more than 30 years with the St Kilda football team; his draft picks include Nick Riewoldt, Brendon Goddard, Leigh Montagna, Nick Dal Santo and Stephen Milne.

Current captain Jarryn Geary was another recruit.

The couple raised four children after building 29 Pasadena Cr in 1964.

It contains four bedrooms, a studio, modernised kitchen and open-plan lounge and dining area with wood panelled walls and a fireplace.

Luke lived there until getting married “and played plenty of football on the street growing up,” selling agent Nick Johnstone told realestate.com.au.

Following the Bentleigh East deal, the agent has earned two commissions from the family: last July he sold Luke’s family home at 1 Fraser Street, in the suburb, for $1.35 million.

That property – which cost $140,000 in 1994 and contains four bedrooms, two lounges and a pool house – underwent a major renovation prior to being listed.

The suburb is 14 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, between Ormond and Heatherton,
