Vince Colosimo and Jane Hall’s renovation rescue is now Northcote’s priciest rental

Vince Colosimo

The Northcote terrace stylishly renovated by actors Vince Colosimo and Jane Hall before their bitter 2007 split, is for lease.

In a pocket known as Westgarth, 86 Union Street is seeking $1150 per week, making it the priciest rental available in the inner-northern Melbourne suburb today.

Colosimo took sole possession of the house in 2009. He maintained it as a bachelor pad for a period before entering a relationship with another actress, Diana Glen, with whom he has a three year old son.

The soon-to-be Offspring star, who was praised for his performance in acclaimed 2001 movie Lantana, listed 86 Union Street for sale in 2015 when it exchanged hands for $1.81 million – some $300,000 above initial price expectations. It was extended and renovated during his 11-year relationship with Hall, who is now a radio show co-host.

Colosimo and Hall, who have a daughter, have repaired their personal relationship. In 2012, while the actor was working overseas, he allowed Hall, who was “between houses”, to moved back into the dwelling which five years earlier, they were in a court room contesting the value of.

Jellis Craig Inner North Property Management is offering the two level terrace with four bedrooms.

A rear garage/workshop, off a landscaped backyard, has its own powder room. Unusually for a rental, this offering comes with appliances: two fridges, a washing machine and dryer.

Postscript: the rental listing was archived on August 10 suggesting the property was leased in less than a week.
