Tim Gurner selling luxury Melbourne mansion

Melbourne developer Tim Gurner is understood to have found a buyer for his Toorak home.

The 35-year old, who in October, ranked fifth on the BRW Young Rich List with an estimated worth of $465 million, listed the historic 1930s mansion in August with a price guide of $8.3 million – $9.1 million.

Following an expressions of interest campaign which closed in September, it is understood a buyer was found late last month paying an as-yet undisclosed sum.

Marshall White’s Marcus Chiminello and Nicole French marketed the six-bedroom Christopher Doyle home, on a 1200 square metre-plus plot, also with a swimming pool.

Mr Gurner, via his wife, is reported to have paid $5.3 million for the property in 2014.

The Gurner building company has close to 20 projects on the go across the country, with the potential to deliver more than 5700 flats worth a total of more than $3.8 billion.

In July, Mr Gurner unveiled plans to build a unique 14-level apartment complex in Wellington Street, Collingwood, in Melbourne’s inner north-east.

Last month, the builder announced every apartment at Brisbane’s FV Flatiron building, in Fortitude Valley, had settled – and that a leasing process for the units was being met with strong demand.

Mr Gurner ranks 157 on the current Financial Review Rich List.
