Stockland Highlands Shopping Centre Opens, Craigieburn

Located on the corner of Aitken and Grand Boulevards, Craigieburn, within Stockland’s fast growing Highlands residential community, the 7,087 square metre shopping centre features a Woolworths supermarket and a great choice of specialty stores.

Stockland Regional Manager Residential, Ben Cantwell, said the $34 million project is the perfect addition to a thriving community.

“The opening of the Stockland Highlands Shopping Centre marks an important milestone in the development of both the Highlands community and the Hume community as a whole,” Mr Cantwell said.

“After fast-tracking construction in response to a community need, the shopping centre will make shopping that little bit easier for the people of Craigieburn and surrounding suburbs.

“There has been a great demand for this new shopping centre, which will offer shoppers a broader choice of retailers and simple everyday convenience.”

Providing a range of fresh food retailers, cafes and everyday services, the centre will cater for residents’ daily shopping needs and become a thriving hub and meeting point for the local community.

The Stockland Highlands Shopping Centre has been brought forward in time for Christmas and delivers six specialty stores, including: The Reject Shop, Pretty’s Fine Meats, Pharmacy Select, Telstra, Jetts Gym and a medical centre.

To provide easy access for the community, the centre will also accommodate 330 car parking spaces, bicycle facilities and is conveniently positioned near surrounding suburbs such as Greenvale, Roxburgh Park and Broadmeadows.

The opening of the shopping centre has boosted local employment opportunities for the Hume region with an estimated 415  direct jobs already being created as a result of the project.

Stockland Highlands Shopping Centre is open seven days a week with Woolworths open from 7am to midnight every day and the remaining specialty stores open from:

Monday to Wednesday:    9.00am to 5.30pm

Saturday:                   9.00am to 5.00pm
