Minister Justin Madden Approves Controversial Development in Clayton
A media spokeswoman for Justin Madden confirmed the project, with the street address of 2107 – 2125 Dandenong Road in Clayton, received Ministerial Approval.
The Monash City Council previously rejected the application believing “the location is inappropriate for residential uses as it has limited social infrastructure to support new residents.”
Council wanted commercial space, and an indoor recreation facility to be developed on the massive and prominent 3.4 hectare site, known since it was developed as the Monash Homemaker Centre.
