Lend Lease today announced the appointment of Mr Scott Charlton, former Chief Financial Officer of Leighton Holdings, as Director of Operations effective immediately.
The newly created role will report directly to Steve McCann as CEO and Managing Director and will be responsible for managing Lend Lease’s key corporate functions including Risk and Safety, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information and Communications Technology.
Mr Charlton brings more than 21 years experience in property, construction, infrastructure and finance to Lend Lease. Throughout his six and half years at Leighton, Mr Charlton was responsible for treasury, M&A, investment and capital management functions and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2007. During this period Leighton established itself as a leading global player and Mr Charlton played a key role in driving operational excellence across the business.
Steve McCann, CEO and Managing Director of Lend Lease, said Mr Charlton’s extensive exposure across the contracting, engineering and construction, and infrastructure sectors means he is well placed to contribute to the Group’s strategic direction.
