LAND around the Caulfield North mansion where eccentric businessman Peter Shellard was murdered by his girlfriend Shirley Withers and two drug taking accomplices in 2005, has been subdivided into about six housing lots. Two blocks remain for sale – the smallest measuring 616 square metres and asking $1.15 million, and the largest measuring 686 square metres, and asking $1.395 million. Mr Shellard tried unsuccessfully throughout the 1980s to subdivide the 8,857 square metre estate which has three street frontages. After Mr Shellard’s death, Rosecraddock is reported to have been purchased by former television presenter Simone Semmens, who paid $7.8 million in 2007, and is managing its sell-down.
