BCC Approves Major Kangaroo Point Apartment Complex, Brisbane

BRISBANE City Council has approved a 206-unit apartment complex in Vulture Street, Kangaroo Point in South Brisbane.

The project will include two towers of 20 and 12 levels respectively, and a retail component.

The tower will overshadow Australia’s oldest Russian Orthodox Church, next door. The heritage listed church was built in 1923. It protested the development.

Elsewhere in the area, the government is planning a 30-level tower opposite the Go Print site, near the GABBA stadium.
