About Real Estate Source

Real Estate Source is an online Australian real estate publication, publishing daily real estate and property articles, news and opinion about residential and commercial markets, nationally.

Real Estate Source is edited by Marc Pallisco, who is also a freelance property reporter with The Age.

Marc started his property career in 1999 as a Research Analyst with commercial agency CB Richard Ellis, becoming a National Research Manager with DTZ Australia in 2001, then Associate Director - Research with Savills in 2003.

In his varied roles, Marc has produced dozens of reports covering the main property sectors including Office, Industrial, Retail, Tourist Accommodation, Aged Care and Prestige Residential.

He has also worked on various consulting jobs for both the private sector, as well as for the state government, working extensively adopting the Melbourne 2030 (now Melbourne @ 5 Million) policy to major activity centres including Ringwood and Dandenong.

In 2005, he was approached by Fairfax Media to write the Capital Gain commercial property column. Capital Gain appears on the back page of the Saturday Business section of The Age between February and December.

At the start of 2006, he started writing a regular residential column, Secret Agent, in the Sunday Domain magazine. He also writes Domain cover stories reporting on real estate markets, trends and issues for investors and prospective home buyers.

A long time real estate hobbyist, Marc established the www.realestatesource.com.au blog as a forum to discuss happenings in both the commercial and residential property sectors.

Nathan Huppatz is the technology director for Real Estate Source and has worked in the online industry for the past 10 years. Nathan is an owner and director of a few online companies, specialising in online publishing and classifieds and online retail and software sales.

Nathan began working in the field of eCommerce in 1999 for a large multinational business, and was involved in multimillion dollar projects in a technical consulting position. After this early work he began working for an online publishing company and soon become an integral part of the business.

Since then he has also formed an online retail and wholesale business, developing a number of online brands and retail sales channels for that business including eBay, webstores and wholesale channels.

Nathan also acts as a mentor and consultant to other growing online businesses, advising on strategy, business process, and business in general.
