Realestatesource.com.au publishes articles, news and opinion about Australian residential and commercial property markets. It is edited by Marc Pallisco, also a freelance property reporter with Fairfax Media, publisher of The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian Financial Review.
Marc started his property career in 1999 as a Research Analyst with commercial agency CB Richard Ellis (now CBRE) – moving in 2001 to the role of National Research Manager with DTZ Australia (now Cushman & Wakefield), then in 2003, to Savills, in a role as Associate Director – Research.
In his varied positions, Marc has produced dozens of reports covering sectors including office, industrial, retail, tourist accommodation, aged care and residential.
He has also worked on consulting jobs for both the private sector as well as for the state government, working extensively researching how initiatives within the planning policy Melbourne 2030 (later renamed Melbourne @ 5 Million) would affect Melbourne activity centres.
A lifelong real estate hobbyist, Marc established the realestatesource.com.au blog as a forum to discuss happenings in both the commercial and residential property sectors.
In 2005, he was approached by Fairfax Media to write the Capital Gain commercial property column. Capital Gain appears in Saturday’s BusinessDay section of The Age between February and December as well as online (at theage.com.au and commercialrealestate.com.au). From 2006, he also contributed residential news items to Domain.
Technology director Nathan Huppatz began working in eCommerce in 1999 with a large multinational business working on multimillion dollar projects in a technical consulting position.
Following this, he began working for an online publishing company then later, started forming online retail and wholesale businesses developing a number of online brands and retail sales channels.
Also a media commentator, Nathan acts as a mentor and consultant to other growing online businesses, advising on strategy, business process, and business in general.
