RESIDENTS of the north-eastern suburb of Doreen are ready to mount Supreme Court action against developer Delfin Lend Lease.

The residents are calling for a halt to building work on a Queensland-style house which they say breaks several Laurimar Estate design rules. They say Delfin Lend Lease and the Whittlesea council have withheld documentation about the Ramblers Way property, including floor plans, leaving them no option but to bypass VCAT and take the matter to the courts.

"We had to adhere to very tight covenants to build in this area," said one resident.

Representatives of both Delfin Lend Lease and the City of Whittlesea did not return Secret Agent's calls.
