Steve Vizard needs to find himself a new home before the year is out.

Industry sources say business identity Andrew Muir, who famously offered Vizard a speculated $17.5 million for his Orrong Road mansion in May, wants to call Toorak home before Christmas.

Vizard, who is understood to have negotiated a longer-than-average settlement of around 6 months when he sold his home, is believed to be scouring the Toorak market for an appropriate new home.

However, with buyer demand outstripping supply in all of Melbourne’s blue ribbon suburbs, Vizard has found himself in the market at a very competitive time.

If worse comes to worse, Vizard, who was recently barred from being a company director for ten years, could always set up camp on the Mornington Peninsula. The business identity’s property portfolio still includes a luxury beach house in Portsea.
