Rose Porteous Sells Luxury Toorak Penthouse |

Melbourne socialite Rose Porteous has sold the second of her twin Toorak penthouses, just 18 months after buying them. The properties are just a few hundred metres from a site Rose is rumoured to be developing into a new home.
Rose's agent confirmed the Clendon Road apartment sold this week, but declined to elaborate on buyer or price. The 3-bedroom recently constructed apartment was on the market for most of the year with a price tag of $3 million.
Combined with the adjoining penthouse she sold just before Christmas last year, Ms Porteous sold for $6 million, what she paid for $4 million. The sale is another example of the strength of the market at Melbourne’s top end.
In another example nearby, an apartment in at unit 4 of 11 Albany Road returned its short-term owner a very healthy capital gain. It sold last Saturday for $1.53 million, almost double the $770,000 the vendor paid for the apartment just nine months earlier.
