Wannabe footballers from some of Melbourne’s biggest commercial agencies and developers braved icy conditions to play for the Hawthorn Football Club Fantasy Cup, in front of an estimated 43,000 people at the Hawthorn-Sydney clash at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last Sunday.

Industrial developer BMF Constructions sponsored the game, which pitched a team of its ‘tradies’ – coached by managing director Ian Wright, against a team of ‘suits’, coached by CB Richard Ellis managing director Matt Haddon.

At the end of the day the ‘suits’ were victorious, beating BMF by about four goals. Lemon Baxter director Paul O’Sullivan was the day’s best performer, kicking 4 goals for the victorious team.
