Kinane, the 6-bedroom mansion on a prime parcel of Brighton’s waterfront has broken the record for the most expensive home in Brighton.

The property is understood to have sold for $11.2 million to business identity Russell Small and partner Belinda Ding.

According to selling agent, the sale sets a new record for the suburb and is one of the highest prices achieved in metropolitan Melbourne for some years. That record is still held by Toorak’s Coonac which sold for around $14.5 million.

The 4-level home, on 35,000 square feet of land includes 4 living rooms, a library, billiard room, 25 metre indoor lap pool, gym, tennis court and outdoor spa with BBQ area. It also features a third level penthouse apartment which, with the rest of the home, offers 180 degree views across Port Phillip Bay to the CBD.
