The Grollo family continues to bid farewell to their coastal Victorian assets, with Bruno’s son Adam offloading a beach front property, about 90 minutes south of Melbourne.
The 5,200 square metre block of land is in the up-and-coming pocket of St Andrews, wedged between the Moonah Links, Eagle Ridge, Dunes and St Andrews Beach Golf Clubs. It has 47 metre direct access to St Andrew’s Beach and part of the Mornington Peninsula National Park.
The property, at 72 Constantine Avenue, was on the market barely two weeks when Secret Agent noticed a ‘Sold Prior to Auction’ announcement in the property pages of the paper.
Selling agent Jenny Fink of Kay & Burton declined to comment on the sale price or the new owner, other than to say that “an auction stopping over” was enough to sway the young Grollo to sell.
When the property first hit the market, Kay & Burton were quoting a price of more than $1.8 million, so we can only imagine the sale price surpassed $2 million.
Meanwhile, across town, buyers have less than a month to make an offer on the historic Woolamai House homestead in Phillip Island, also being offloaded by the Grollo family. The property includes a restored 35 square 1876 homestead, with a 45 square extension, added in 2004. The property is also for sale through Kay & Burton and is expected to fetch more than $8 million.
