Goodman Group (“Goodman”) is pleased to announce Heidelberg Australia/New Zealand (HAN) have commenced occupancy at Ferntree Business Park, Notting Hill.
HAN is a fully owned Sales and Service unit (SSU) of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and part of the Asia Pacific Market Centre. HAN develops solutions for the entire printing and publishing industry. Their goal is to provide superior solutions to the graphic arts industry in Australia and New Zealand in the form of products, technical services, finance, training, and advisory services.
An agreement to occupy the 3,930 sqm purpose-built facility was signed in December 2005. The hi-tech facility will comprise 1500sqm office and showroom and 2430sqm warehouse.
HAN’s Managing Director, Andy Vels Jensen, explains the rationale behind the relocation: ``The move made sense across all areas of the business, not least the fact that it brings us closer to our customers and was an excellent proposition which secures our cost base moving forward. The new site has a modern purpose-built office building comprising a fantastic and functional Print Media Academy (PMA) for external and internal training. The investment was fast-tracked and approved by the Heidelberg board within weeks of the opportunity arising."
HAN’s General Manager Marketing and Product Management, Glenn Plummer, says the new PMA will not only showcase Heidelberg equipment, software and systems but will also be a place to meet, network and learn.
“We started with a clean sheet of paper when designing and setting out plans for the PMA and the result is stunning. We looked at our own experience and that of other Heidelberg branches around the world to come up with a layout and facilities that are unmatched.”
Plummer points out, “the 1,000 square metre PMA area includes showroom space for presses and post press equipment, a pre press – Prinect suite, café and training rooms with up-to-date audio visual services and fully integrated connection of mechanical, electrical and electronic services for equipment.”
Ferntree Business Park’s conjunctional marketing agents Mr Rob Joyes from Colliers International and Mr Andrew Stewart from CB Richard Ellis said ``With Notting Hill offering immediate access to freeways, there is no longer any real disadvantage in locating outside of the Melbourne CBD., Now customers are able to take advantage of the lower rentals available for a brand new, purpose-built, facility.’’
Securing this high profile company at the business park, demonstrates Goodman’s commitment to the Park. Planned new amenities include a café, child care centre, multi-deck car parking and extensive landscaping.
