Good Guys Boss Sells East Melbourne House

Good Guys boss Andrew Muir has put his East Melbourne mansion on the market, in a deal expected to set a new record for the bourgeoisies suburb.

The listing adds to speculation Mr Muir is the mystery buyer of businessman and entertainer Steve Vizard’s Orrong Road mansion – a claim he has not yet confirmed.

Muirs outgoing property, Crathre House, includes a 133-year old 6-bedroom Victorian Italianate mansion, with pool and large outdoor entertaining areas. It sits on a large 1017 square metre parcel of land, just one block back from Treasury Gardens.

The selling agent for the property expects around $10 million, which would set a new price record for a house in East Melbourne.

Coincidentally, the way in which Muir bought Crathre House is similar to the way in which it is claimed he bought the Vizard house – by appointing an agent to knock on the door and make an offer.
