Fresh off the success of the grand prix, new general manager of events for the Victorian Government, Brendan McClements, is moving his family from Kew to the bay.
The meticulously renovated Edwardian home at 55 Disraeli Street is 50 metres from Eglington Gardens and close to private schools. The home has four bedrooms, a new kitchen and a large open-plan living and dining room at the back. A bathroom has been built where the kitchen was.
The former general manager of corporate affairs for the International Cricket Council, Mr McClements has been based in London and Dubai, working with chief executive Malcolm Speed (who also owns in Kew) on issues such as match fixing and charity games for survivors of the Asian tsunami.
The family has returned to Melbourne, enrolling their two oldest children at a St Kilda school leading them to look for a home nearby.
Hocking Stuart sales executive Glen Coutinho is selling the property at 1.30pm on Saturday, March 31. He expects a price of more than $830,000.
