He may have failed in an old tour promise to make bald, skinny men "sexy'' _ but comedian Carl Barron can at least live among the glamorous people, after apparently picking up a luxury apartment in an exclusive Melbourne CBD warehouse.

Sources say the comedian _ who spends his time between Sydney and Melbourne _ has paid around $1.2 million for a double-storey, three-bedroom apartment.

Measuring 245 square metres, the apartment is one of a handful in the 107-year-old bluestone warehouse building. It includes three bathrooms, a large outdoor terrace and extensive use of floor boards removed from an Adelaide Wool Store.

Melbourne Boutique Property director Gina Donazzan marketed the apartment, but declined to comment on any part of the deal when contacted by Secret Agent. His management team also declined to comment.
