Life members of Victoria's Art Deco Society, Helen Graham and Cliff Skinner, are moving from the renovated Elwood penthouse they have enjoyed for almost 14 years.

The boutique art deco apartment block at 34 Docker Street was designed by modernist architect J. Esmond Dorney. Some of his other works include Surrey Court on Ormond Road and Windermere on Broadway, which is registered by the National Trust.

The two-level penthouse has three bedrooms, a study, three living areas including a rooftop lounge and a dining area that opens to a terrace with 360-degree views of the bay, CBD, Macedon Ranges, the You Yangs and the Dandenongs. It has an outdoor spa, workshop, and separate bathroom.

Ms Graham says the property exemplifies the popular art deco era that is synonymous with Elwood.
