Former Channel Nine chief executive officer Eddie McGuire has sold one of his two adjoining Dunraven Avenue homes in Toorak.
The Wayne Gillespie designed McGuire family home, built by Eddie and his wife Carla about ten years ago, is believed to have sold for $4 million, in an off-market deal negotiated earlier this week.
An adjoining home, bought by the McGuire’s with the intention of becoming a tennis court, but instead used as an investment, is also close to sale, sources say, for around $2.5 million.
Kay & Burton director Michael Gibson confirmed the McGuire’s outgoing family home had sold, but declined to elaborate on any part of the deal including buyer or price.
Last month, the McGuire’s paid a speculated $11 million for a single storey Georgian-style property , on an approximate 2,000 square metre block with pool and tennis court. The fully renovated 25-year home in the prestigious St Georges Road precinct was offloaded by Applied Chemicals executive Ian Hicks.
