COLLINGWOOD captain Nathan Buckley (pictured left) and Channel Nine CEO Eddie McGuire now share more than their love of the black-and-white jersey. They also share a Toorak address.
Buckley picked up the five-bedroom house, on a 1200-square-metre block, for $3.93 million. The house is a torpedo kick away from the mansion of Collingwood president (and Sydneysider) Eddie McGuire.
Well-placed sources say McGuire appears in no rush to sell his Toorak pile, despite its looking likely that he'll stay in NRL-obsessed Sydney for some years.
"I don't think he knows himself what he is going to do with the property," says a source.
"He's been busy and hasn't applied himself to think about a sale."
Perhaps he'll reconsider now, with Buckley having three spare bedrooms to accommodate the McGuire clan for any Melbourne visits.
