The building boom in the streets around the former Brighton Bowling & Tennis Club continues, with boutique builder BPM announcing plans for a $22 million, 24-unit apartment project at 30 Willansby Avenue.

The chateau-inspired development will include oversized 1-bedroom apartments measuring at least 80 square metres, through to double storey, three bedroom apartments of 234 square metres. The design team for the project includes JDA Architects and Robert Mills Architects.

Finishes in the apartments will be high end, and include Corian bench tops, integrated Miele appliances, emporite extra gloss and timber veneer joinery, frameless glass shower screens and mosaic feature walls. They will also include large central courtyards, and basement parking.

The BPM site backs onto developer Hamton’s Baymarque, a $30 million, 46-unit townhouse project under construction on the former Brighton Bowling & Tennis Club site in Male Street. Hamton bought the site in 2006.

Further up Male Street, at the corner of Bay, a $38 million shopping centre and office building is also set to start construction.
