Former architect and managing director of Australian Bridal Services, Glen Findlay, has wed a family home on a big block to the pokey inner-city suburb of Prahran.
Findlay and partner, public relations practitioner Vanessa Barcellona, are selling Lammermoor - a restored Federation home at 74 Williams Road. The home has formal sitting and dining rooms, marble fireplaces, three double bedrooms - one with a courtyard and study - a new kitchen and an open-plan living room overlooking the backyard.
Real estate enthusiasts need not go to Prahran to check it out because it sits behind a tall concrete wall.
Marshall White sales executive Joanna Nairn said the 750 square metre block could accommodate a pool.
Mr Findlay founded the bridal business in 1992, getting the taste for weddings when working as a banquet manager while a student. He is managing director of the Australian Heritage Home Show, held annually at the Exhibition Building.
Lammermoor goes to auction at 1.30pm on Saturday, March 31. It is expected to sell for more than $1.2 million.
