A luxury 3-bedroom apartment in the same St Kilda Road building as his own, has sold for $2.25 million.

The apartment was offloaded by ex-Barry Plant boss Chris Bell, who paid about $1.6 million for it a year earlier. It includes three bedrooms, large separate living and dining areas, an entertainers terrace with expansive views to the CBD and three car spaces.

RT Edgar senior sales consultant Sarah Case sold the sub-penthouse apartment, which set a record high price for the building, but declined to elaborate on any part of the deal including who made the knockout bid.

Derryn Hinch calls the apartment tower home as does his “drive-time” radio rival Andy Lee, of comedy duo Hamish & Andy.

New figures released this week show ratings for Hamish & Andy’s drive-time Fox FM show increased to 19.5 per cent, substantially higher than Hinch, who’s rating with 3AW also increased, but to just 13 per cent.
