A 66-apartment complex in Melbourne’s west is attracting serious buyer interest.

The four storey complex at 69 - 79 Buckley Street, Seddon, 6km west of Melbourne’s CBD, has only been on the market for two weeks sparking an influx of inquiries.

Colliers International Director of Special Projects, Theo George said house prices in Seddon had grown by a staggering 58% in the past five years.
“There has been an extremely strong response to this property to date,” he said.

“There is a shortage of houses, units and apartments available in the area.”

Mr George said buyers were lured by the complex’s close proximity to the transport hub – with two train stations and buses only minutes away, and the massive Footscray shopping centre a short stroll from the complex.

“Victoria University is only 150 metres away.”

Mr George is running an expression of interest campaign which ends on May 29.

“We are marketing the 66-apartments as a whole however, the eventual purchaser may be able to subdivide and sell them off separately, subject to council approval,” he said.

All of the studio, one and two bedroom apartments have balconies, heating and cooling, 29 basement car parking and 15 storage cages.
“The property is a magnificent development yet to be occupied, featuring innovative architecture.”
