Templestowe Suspect Mansion Close to Sale

In July police charged retired fruiterer Peter Caruso with the murder of his wife of 51-years, Rosa, which is alleged to have occurred in the corridor of the couple’s Sunny Rise home, near Tikalara Park, about 20 kilometres north-east of the CBD.

Mr Caruso was released on bail in mid-July, and is now living with a family member, awaiting a hearing which could take place in 2010. At 74, he is the oldest man on remand in Victoria.

The 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom single level Templestowe home, on a 4,000 square metre block, is built at the centre of a sloping block and is liveable, but likely to be renovated, sources say. Demolishing and rebuilding a new home is also an option for the new buyer.

The Templestowe house was marketed for private sale two weeks ago advertised at “in excess of $950,000”. This week, the advertisement was changed to “under offer”.
