Colliers International has announced an expansion of the company’s operations in Penrith, Western Sydney with the addition of a specialised commercial agency team and the appointment of a new Director to bolster and expand the existing Consultancy and Valuation business.

Colliers International set up the Penrith office in early 2007, with an initial focus on consultancy and valuation services in the company’s Extractive Industries & Waste Management specialisation.

NSW State Chief Executive Malcom Tyson said Colliers International had identified the wider outer west of Sydney as an area with significant opportunity across commercial, retail and industrial sectors.

“We have received increasing enquiry from our clients and noted increasing activity in the area.  We have expanded our team and range of services in Penrith in line with our strategy to offer specialised, local knowledge to meet client demand.”

Commercial agency specialists Matthew Neale and Bruce Annabel have been appointed as Directors to build the commercial and industrial agency business in Penrith.

Mr Neale and Mr Annabel are not strangers to the local market, having both operated highly successfully in the market for the past 15 years.

In addition to expanding into commercial agency, Russell Briggs has joined the Colliers International Penrith team as a Director in Consultancy and Valuation.

Mr Briggs brings over 20 years of valuation experience in the retail, commercial, industrial & prestige residential sectors throughout the greater metropolitan area of Sydney.

Mr Briggs is also currently the Senior Vice President of the NSW Division of the Australian Property Institute and joins the Colliers International team after 12 years with Egan National Valuers where he managed their NSW operations.

He will continue to specialise in Family Law matters, rental reviews and general consultancy and will be an active member in the Extractive Industries & Waste Management specialisation.
